Terms of Service
The short version
- WriteForge is a free personal project, offered as is, with no guarantee that it keeps running.
- What you write is yours. We only store and process it to run the service.
- Don't use it to break the law, harm others or attack the service.
- Keep your own copies of anything important.
1.Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using WriteForge you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2.The service
WriteForge is a notes app (notes, tables, boards and diagrams, with an API and an MCP server for AI agents) run by one developer as a personal project. It is free and has no paid plans.
It may change, be unavailable, lose features or shut down at any time, with or without notice. There is no commitment to keep it running or to keep any feature.
3.Your account
- Use an email address you control and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens with your account, including what API tokens, share links and AI agents you give access do with it.
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough where you live to accept these terms.
4.Your content
You keep every right to what you write and upload. You give WriteForge only the permission it needs to store, process, show and send your content to provide the service to you and to the people you share it with, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to put it there. Share links and workspace invitations let others see or edit what you share with them.
5.Acceptable use
Don't use WriteForge to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy;
- store or share malware, spam, phishing or content that exploits or harms others;
- attack, overload or probe the service, get around its limits, or access accounts or data that aren't yours;
- resell the service or use it to run another service.
6.Feedback and bug reports
If you send a bug report or a suggestion, it may be used to improve WriteForge with no obligation to you.
7.Ending
You can stop using WriteForge at any time and ask for your account and data to be deleted by writing to [email protected].
Accounts that break these terms, or that put the service or other people at risk, may be suspended or deleted, with or without notice.
8.No warranty
WriteForge is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. It is not meant to be the only copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
9.Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, the operator of WriteForge is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, content or profits, arising from your use of the service or from not being able to use it.
10.Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did, and significant changes will be pointed out on the site. Using WriteForge after a change means you accept the new terms.
